Device selects specific viewpoint of intended image support; frames and captures image of specific viewpoint, superimposing support image in image of picture to be reproduced onto support; transmits new image to operator positioned at support via headup display (4), so that operator can reproduce picture onto support with tracing instrument (7) using new image which is displayed to operator in real time in head up display. Accordingly the device comprises computer (5) for processing the image, adapted to break down the new image into fractions, so that they can be transmitted to the operator, as requested, via display (4), such as a head mounted display. Only the image fraction corresponding to operator position is transmitted.
