The mascara brush has bristles (60) along a concave side (A) and a second set of bristles (70) along a convex side (B). In cross-section the bristles form two sides of an ellipse whose major axis runs along their longest dimension. Independent claims are included for: (a) a mascara set comprising a brush as described above and a bottle fitted with a flexible brush wiper; and (b) a method for applying make-up using the brush.
