The method for optimization of the stratification junctures in a prototype model, with the juncture sections defining a flush surface, involves decomposition into the strata assisted by a coordinate operator. The profile of two adjacent strata is defined mathematically and numerically to define an algorithm in which the surface of the joint (7) at the proximal end of the joint to the surface is always normal to the tangent plane of the surface at the flush point.
