PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated steel strip which prevents the occurrence of enamel hairs on an end surface when flange bending processing is applied to the end part of a coated steel strip subjected to shearing processing and a method for bending the flange.;SOLUTION: When the end part of the coated steel strip held between a die and a strip holder is subjected to slide bending processing by pressing the end part protruding from the end part of the die from above by a punch, as a coated steel strip to be processed, a coating film whose average thickness is equal to or below one-half of the ten-point average roughness (Rz) of the surface is formed on the surface of the steel strip.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
