PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copyright protection system which limits delivery to unspecified receiver set outside home and which can simultaneously perform delivery to a domestic receiver, without practical problem, and to provide a transmitter, a receiver, a method for protecting the copyright, a program and a recording medium with a program stored thereon. PSOLUTION: In the transmitter, a measurement means for measuring a transmitting time to the receiver is provided.
