PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for managing presence/absence and notifying of coming to/coming out of school wherein parents can learn at what time their children come to and come out of an educational institution and the educational institution side as well is allowed to acquire the state of presence/absence of pupils. PSOLUTION: This system is characterized by comprising an information storage medium stored with identification information and carried by a pupil, an information storage medium reader installed near a doorway of an educational institution, a communication device for transmitting identification information read by the medium reader to a server, a pupil information database in which pupil information, his/her parent's electronic mail address, and identification information are registered in a mutually associated manner, a clocking means, a time determination means for determining time at which identification information is received from a transmitting device, a time writing means for storing the determined time in association with identification information registered in the information database, and a server equipped with a time information transmission means for transmitting a message including the determined time information to an electronic mail address registered in the information database.
