METHOD OF FORMING CUTOFF MEMBER FOR USE IN STEEL JACKET CONSTRUCTION METHOD, AND CUTOFF MEMBER MOUNTING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a cutoff member which can vary its shape according to using purposes such as pressure resisting conditions, is applicable to a steel pipe for inserting therein a steel pipe pile, or to a steel pipe having a different diameter from a large diameter to a small diameter, for the steel pipe pile, and contributes to drastic reduction in construction cost, and to provide a cutoff member mounting structure, and a jacket and the steel pipe pile equipped with the cutoff member.;SOLUTION: According to the method of forming the cutoff member, a temporary support member 5 made of an elastic material is fixed to either an inner peripheral surface 2 of the steel pipe 1 for inserting therein the steel pipe pile, or an outer peripheral surface 4 of the steel pipe pile 3 to be inserted in the steel pipe, by an adhesive 6 in a circumferential direction. Thereafter the cutoff member 7 made of an elastic synthetic resin layer is continuously sprayed across an area between the temporary support member 5 and the peripheral surface of the steel pipe so as to be supported by the temporary support member 5, and in this manner the cutoff member 7 is formed across the area in the circumferential direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
