CALIBRATOR AND STEREO CAMERA POSITION/ATTITUDE CALIBRATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibrator and a stereo camera position/attitude calibration device for surely and easily finding the position and attitude of a stereo camera by means of image processing regardless of the direction of the stereo camera.;SOLUTION: This calibrator is: a round rack calibrator 5 made by fixing a plurality of round targets 3, each made by drawing a circle 2 on a plate 1, to a rack 4 assembled from poles 4a, 4b, and 4c; a spherical rack calibrator made by fixing a plurality of spherical targets to a rack assembled from poles; a round pole calibrator made by fixing a plurality of round targets to one pole; a spherical pole calibrator made by fixing a plurality of spherical targets to one pole; or a spherical lattice calibrator made by fixing a spherical target to each lattice point of a tower formed into a three-dimensional lattice-shape by together combining poles. The spherical targets are fixed to the poles in a skewered or stuck shape. The round portion of each round target or the center position of each spherical target is found by binarization processing and gravity center calculation or circle extraction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
