PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder for a lithium sulfur battery with a strong binding force, high chemical resistance insoluble in an electrolyte, and to provide a positive electrode active material composition for the lithium sulfur battery reducing the content of the binder by using the binder having physical properties like this, and a high capacity lithium sulfur battery manufactured by using this positive electrode active material composition and the binder. PSOLUTION: The binder for the lithium sulfur battery contains a butadiene-containing copolymer. Since the binder has a strong binding force, the amount of the use of the binder can be reduced.
