PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wippen for a piano in which both high rigidity and light weight are provided while suppressing adverse effect caused by concentration of stress, sufficient sound volume of the piano is obtained and action responsiveness and characteristics in repetitive hitting are improved.;SOLUTION: A wippen 1 of the piano is pushed up by a key 52 when it is pressed down, a hammer 56 is rotated and the hammer 56 hits a string. The wippen 1 is provided with a main body section 2 which extends forward backward and is supported around a horizontal line in a freely rotative manner at a back tip section, a heel section 3 which is projected toward the bottom direction from a center section 5 of the section 2 through boundary sections 7 and 8 located at the front and the back and is pushed up by the key 52, a recessed section 11 which is arranged on the side surface over the sections 2 and 3 and thickness reinforcement sections 22 and 31 which are used to reinforce rigidity of the sections 7 and 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
