PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shrink resistant finish agent which is useful in the shrink resistant finish of a keratin fiber, is a non-chlorine-based compound, is sufficiently resinified even by the heating of a drying process, has shrink-proof characteristics with excellent fastness to washing and keeps a feeling characteristic of a keratin fiber.;SOLUTION: The shrink resistant finish agent comprises a cationic polyurethane resin obtained by reacting a free isocyanate group-containing polyurethane composed of (A) an organic polyisocyanate and (B) an active hydrogen-containing compound containing at least two active hydrogens having reactivity with an NCO group with a polyhydroxy compound which contains a tertiary amino group neutralized with an acid and/or quaternized with a quaternizing agent and at least one active hydrogen having reactivity with an NCO group to provide the polyurethane with cationic properties and reacting the cationic polyurethane with water or a polyvalent amine containing two or more active hydrogens.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
