PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide waveguide type light components capable of simplifying an alignment process for matching an optical axis and materializing a excellent collimation state at low loss.;SOLUTION: A collimator lens 4 is arranged on a V-grooved substrate 5 and connected to an output light guide 11 on the output end of an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer 1. An interval of the output end of the output light guide 11 is set at a value exceeding the diameter of the collimator lens 4. The collimator lens 4 is adhered to and fixed on the V-grooved substrate 5, then collective processing is performed into a proper length by grinding and polishing machines such as a grinder and rapping machine in regard to the processing of the collimator lens 4 and the V-grooved substrate 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
