METHOD FOR PRODUCING LIME-BASE FLUX FOR SECONDARY REFINING

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a lime-base flux for suitably applying secondary refining with which the porousness of the lime itself is improved and calcium aluminate or calcium ferrite is contained. PSOLUTION: Lime stone is crushed to the powder-state having 1mm size, and in this powdery lime stone, the ready-made material of powdery calcium aluminate or calcium ferrite having the same size is mixed. This mixture is granulated and burnt at 1,150-1,300C. The lime is made to be porous, and in this porous lime, the calcium aluminate or the calcium ferrite is dispersed. The surface of granular lime is covered with the calcium aluminate etc., to restrain slaking of the lime. Then, the mixing state approaching the calcium aluminate etc. and the lime is kept so as to immediately cause the effect of the calcium aluminate to the lime in the secondary refining.
