PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately evaluate another route by accurately calculating a required time when a vehicle runs on the another route.;SOLUTION: In this method of evaluating a route by utilizing a virtual vehicle, (1) the present position of the virtual vehicle running on the another route (dotted lines) to be evaluated registered by a user is calculated by using the system and method for evaluating the route utilizing the virtual vehicle and real-time running history data on the vehicle in evaluating the route recorded in a route evaluation system utilizing the virtual vehicle and a drive recorder of the vehicle 4-1, real time running history data on the other vehicles in evaluating the route recorded in the drive recorders of the other vehicles 4-2 to 4-3, running track record data in the past recorded in the drive recorder of the vehicle 4-1, and calculated running data calculated based on virtual speeds, and (2) the actual traffic conditions are reflected to provide the present position of the virtual vehicle by displaying the virtual vehicle so as to run on the another route.
