PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a D-amino acid oxidase having excellent heat-stability, its gene, a recombinant DNA and a method for producing the D-amino acid oxidase having excellent heat-stability.;SOLUTION: This invention relates to (1) the D-amino acid oxidase having an amino acid sequence obtained by replacing the 42nd amino acid with cysteine or the 246th amino acid with tyrosine in a specific amino acid sequence; (2) the D-amino acid oxidase gene encoding the amino acid sequence described above wherein the 42nd amino acid is replaced with cysteine or the 246th amino acid is replaced with tyrosine; (3) the recombinant DNA produced by inserting the D-amino acid oxidase gene described in the item (2) into a vector DNA; (4) a transformant or a transductant; and (5) the method for producing the D-amino acid oxidase having excellent heat-stability. The D-amino acid oxidase having excellent heat-stability is produced by this invention and the enzyme is useful in an industrial field by advantageously using it as a diagnostic enzyme, or the like, in the form of a determination kit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
