PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that a Hume (R) pipe cannot be smoothly inserted because frictional resistance between the Hume pipe and natural ground is made higher with an increase in advancing distance, though a tunnel is constructed by rotating and advancing an advancing machine, whose tip has a bit, and sequentially inserting the Hume pipes into the cylindrical excavated natural ground from the rear, in the advancing of the small-diameter tunnel.;SOLUTION: An advancing machine-side insertion cylinder part 4 which is to be inserted into the outside of an outer peripheral part on the back end side of the tunnel advancing machine 2, a Hume pipe-side insertion cylinder part 5 which is to be inserted into the outside of an outer peripheral part on the front end side of the Hume pipe 3 which constitutes the wall surface of the tunnel, and a central annular part 6 of a great thickness, which is located between the cylinder parts 4 and 5 and which abuts on the back end surface of the machine 2 and the front end surface of the Hume pipe 3, are integrally provided in such a manner that respective outer peripheral surfaces of them are flush with one another; a lubricant introducing hole 8 is provided in the inner peripheral wall of the annular part 6; a skid discharging slit 7 and the hole 8 are coupled by a skid passage 9 which is provided in the annular part 6; the skid is pumped into the hole 8 from a lubricant supply source, so as to be discharged from the slit 7; and a lubricant layer can be formed between the outer peripheral wall surface of the Hume pipe 3 and the natural ground.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
