PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting shaft and an arrival shaft with the smallest possible sizes in advancing a propulsion pipe along a planed placement line. ;SOLUTION: A drilling machine is formed with a front body A and a rear body B detachable from each other. A cutter head 1, a driving member 8, a mud feed pipe 9, and a water stop valve 11 for a mud discharge pipe 10 are arranged in the front body A, a target 12 is provided at the rear end of a tail shield 4 and a TV camera 13 is provided on the front side of the target 12. With the arrangement of the target 12 and the TV camera 13, the front body A can be formed shorter. A hydraulic unit 24 and a relay panel are arranged in the rear body B. An open/closed cover 4b and others are provided on the outer peripheries of the front body A and the rear body B and the cover 4b is removed to open inside when equipment arranged inside is controlled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
