PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently identify an error and to find its cause for obtaining information useful for solution. PSOLUTION: This equipment is constructed of a plurality of automated stations for executing an assembly process of body components or their equivalents. In the station, a measurement sensor is arranged in a measurement point established for measurement of a geometric dimension of the component in an assembled body. Measurement data obtained by the sensor are received by a processing unit, and the unit detects all the deformations of the components in the various stations, tracks and finds the cause of deformation from the detected deformation, and outputs a diagnosis signal for an estimated cause. For confirming the error, this identification and management method is provided with an analysis step, in which the measurement point is checked, and then, correlation between a measurement value detectable in the measurement point and a possible cause causing a motion.
