METHOD FOR SPECIFYING OVERCROWDED SITE OF ORAL BACTERIA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specifying an overcrowded site of oral bacteria by which the site where many specific bacteria present in the oral cavity are propagated is specified.;SOLUTION: The overcrowded site of the oral bacteria is specified by taking an impression of teeth of a testee by using an impression material for dentistry, and culturing the oral bacteria collected by attaching to the impression material for the dentistry under a culture condition suitable for the target oral bacteria on the surface of the impression material for the dentistry or on a medium model formed on the oral cavity-side surface of the impression material for the dentistry to propagate the bacteria, and visually observing the bacteria. When the bacteria are cultured on the surface of the impression material for the dentistry, an impression material for the dentistry containing a medium component, or an impression material covered with a layer of the medium may be used. In another aspect, an ipmpression material having one layer of a medium formed on the oral cavity-side surface, or an impression material having a gel-shaped medium formed on the oral cavity-side surface may be used as the impression material for the dentistry.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
