PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a high yielding plant bearing large grains by certainly carrying out a breed improvement by gene modification method.;SOLUTION: It has been known that a seed became a short grainwhen α subunit gene of trimer G plant protein is defective. Therefore, a transformant which gives seeds of large grain size is obtained by bringing the α subunit gene of the trimer G plant protein to be always in an active form.
