PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taxi allocation system enabling a person to receive the dispatch service of a taxi even if he/she does not know the telephone number of a taxi company, know the time up to the arrival of the taxi because the position of the taxi is clearly displayed, and easily find out the called taxi because he/she can confirm the approaching taxi.;SOLUTION: In this system, a customer terminal, a taxi dispatch center, and a taxi terminal are mutually connected through a communication network. The taxi terminal and the customer terminal transmit position information to the taxi allocation center, respectively. The taxi allocation center composes it in map information and transmits the result to the customer terminal. A customer selects one of a plurality of taxis on a map. The taxi allocation center transmits the position information of the customer to the selected taxi. The taxi starts to pick up the customer on receipt of it.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
