PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator hoistway wiring branch method and elevator hoistway wiring enabling branch connection maintaining a straight line state from a trunk cable, thereby drastically reducing material and working costs and capable of making the branch part compact in size.;SOLUTION: More than a predetermined number of the cables 28a2 which do not branch out of a plurality of cables 28a composing the trunk cable 28 are secured for bearing the load of the trunk 28. Cables 28a1 severed for branch connecting are positioned so that the severed ends are positioned to come into contact in a face to face state with branch cables 29 inside a connecting tool 31 to be integrally joined. The branch connection part does not need to bear the load of the trunk cables 28 and a loop does not need to be formed, thereby simplifying the wiring structure, drastically reducing wiring work cost and material cost, and reducing the burden on a worker.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
