PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for evaluating internal quality of agricultural produce conducting measuring operation by a measuring means under an appropriate condition that an object to be measured is placed at a measuring spot regardless of the difference of the size of the object to be measured.;SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a conveying means 4 for conveying the object to be measured through the measuring spot; a measuring means K for projecting measuring light onto the object to be measured placed at the measuring spot and receiving light from the object to be measured; and a controlling means 3 for performing a controlling process for measuring operation by the measuring means K. A vertical adjusting mechanism 21 is provided for changing/adjusting the position of the measuring means K in the vertical direction. An object detecting means T, for detecting whether the object to be measured reaches the measuring spot or the vicinity thereof, is subjected to changing/adjusting its vertical position by the vertical adjusting mechanism 21 together with the measuring means K. The controlling means 3, based on detection information of the object detecting means T, controls the position of the object to be measured with respect to the measuring spot, allowing the measuring means K to conduct measuring operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
