PURPOSE: To provide a production method for plastic substrate liquid crystal display element, which is capable of efficiently obtaining a plastic substrate liquid crystal display element with a simplified process, and o provide a plastic substrate liquid crystal display element having a simple structure produced by suitably adapting this producing method. ;CONSTITUTION: The plastic substrate liquid crystal display element is obtained by applying a polysilazane coating solution on at least one surface of each of a pair of flexible supporting bodies 1, 1' to form a silazane coating film, then baking the polysilazane coating film in the air to form an amorphous SiOx layer 2, forming a transparent conductive layer 3 directly or with an anchor coat layer on the amorphous SiOx layer 2 of one side in each of the flexible supporting bodies 1, 1' and after orientation treatment, arranging each of the flexible supporting bodies 1, 1' so as to face the transparent conductive layers 3 each other and pouring a liquid crystal material 4 between the pair of flexible supporting bodies 1, 1' to seal them.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
