PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant for liquid crystal display element using a plastic film substrate having such flexibility as to follow up bending of the film under a heated temperature condition in the assembly process of a film liquid crystal cell, an excellent adhesive property to the plastic film substrate and excellent resistance to the liquid crystal, a liquid crystal display device utilizing the same, and a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device. ;SOLUTION: The sealant 7 for the liquid crystal display element contains an epoxy component comprising a disphenol type epoxy resin (epoxy 1), an alcoholic epoxy resin with a bisphenol skeleton (epoxy 2) and at least one or more kinds of filler material with ≤2 μm average particle size as indispensable constituents and a hardener component comprising a polyfunctional thiol type resin with an isocyanurate skeleton, a tertiary amine type material as the reactive catalyst material and a silane coupling agent as indispensable constituents.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
