PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the vibration of a slantedly mounted V-type multi-cylinder engine.;SOLUTION: Torque TA to be generated by a cylinder located at a bank A and torque TB to be generated by a cylinder located at a bank B, when having the same size, have different sizes of lateral components TAh, TBh and vertical components TAv, TBv. By reducing a parameter for determining the generated output of a cylinder located at a predetermined bank (bank A) on the single side by a preset amount, the lateral component TAh of the torque to be generated by each cylinder at the bank A can approach the lateral component TBh to be generated by each cylinder at the bank B. Thereby, the unbalance of the lateral components of the generated output of each cylinder can be corrected and the lateral vibration resulting from slantedly mounting can be suppressed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
