PURPOSE: To obtain a digging up blade of a self-running root vegetable harvester capable of eliminating a difference of revolving operations between a right revolving and a left revolving and having improved efficiency of straight movability, operability and digging up property by inclinedly placing a vertical blade in a reverse direction with a projecting direction of a horizontal blade to a progressive direction. ;CONSTITUTION: In the objective harvester, a vertically movable arm 32 is projected to forward of a running machine body, a digging up blade 1 having about L-letter shape in a front view a vertical blade 1a extending to front downward from a top end of the arm 32 and a horizontal blade 1b projecting sideward from a bottom end of the vertical blade 1a are fixed and the vertical blade 1a is inclinedly placed in a reverse direction with the projecting direction of the horizontal blade 1b to a projecting direction.
