PURPOSE: To cut and separate round cake into fan-shaped pieces individually and collect the pieces without damage to them extremely easily. ;CONSTITUTION: The ultrasonic cutter 51 in the cutting unit 4 is allowed to cut the round cake into 2 halves on the torte disk 6 along the line passing through the rotation center of the disk 6. The torte disk 6 is rotated by a prescribed angle and the ultrasonic cutter 51 is allowed to cut down to give the first small pieces. Further, as the torte disk 6 is rotated by a prescribed angle, the segments on which each small cake piece is allowed to move outside in the radial direction. Then, the process where small pieces are formed by the cutter 51 and the process where the segments on which pieces are placed each are allowed to move outside in the radial direction are repeated to expand the cut faces between the equally cut pieces of the round cake.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
