PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer material compsn. which has antibacterial properties and gives a molded item excellent in antibacterial properties by compounding an amorphous polymer material with a specific cyclic org. phosphoric ester compd. ;SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding an amorphous polymer material with a cyclic org. phosphoric ester compd. represented by the formula (R¹, R², and R³ are each independently H or 1-8C linear or branched alkyl; R⁴ is H or methyl; n is 1 or 2; and when n is 1, then M is H or an alkali metal and, when n is 2, then M is an alkaline earth metal or zinc). The amt. of the ester compd. compounded is not specifically limited, though about 0.001-5 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. polymer material is usually pref.
