PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a raw material for brown rice tea, containing a great number of natural trace elements (minerals) by using deep ocean water, and reproducing a mineral balance of the deep ocean water. SOLUTION: This raw material for brown rice tea is basically produced by carrying out a steaming process for immersing polished brown rice in concentrated water of deep ocean water for a fixed time and steaming the immersed polished brown rice, a drying process, a roasting process and a cooling process. Water having =25% deep ocean water content obtained by adding the concentrated water of deep ocean water to one kind or a plurality of kinds of raw water of deep ocean water, desalted water of deep ocean water, mineral water and tap water may be used in stead of the concentrated water of deep ocean water. The polished brown rice is immersed in natural solid salts or a solution of natural salts separated and extracted from deep ocean water and finished. The concentrated water of deep ocean water is used as cooling water in the cooling process.
