PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance working efficiency at the installation of a safety cover for covering a recessed ditch (waterway etc.) so as to prevent the fall of a person into the recessed ditch and the entry of refuse thereinto.;SOLUTION: Joint frames 17 and 18, which are to be sequentially coupled to frames of a plurality of respective fixed frame bodies F1 arranged at upper ends of side walls 2 and 3 of the recessed ditch (waterway) 1 at prescribed intervals along the recessed ditch 1, are constituted so that an outside-diameter part on the side of one end can be fitted into an inside-diameter part on the side of the other end. Thus, one end of one joint frame 17 or 18 is sequentially fitted for coupling to the other end of the other joint frame 17 or 18. Consequently, the rigidity of the whole safety cover for the waterway is enhanced because all the respective frame bodies F1 arranged along the recessed ditch 1 are sequentially coupled together by the coupled joint frames 17 and 18.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
