PURPOSE: To obtain a preserving agent and a protecting agent of internal organs, having little trouble in respect to the adverse effects and the safety. ;CONSTITUTION: A preserving agent and a protecting agent of internal organs, contain (t)-N,N'-propylenedinicotinic acid amide as an active ingredient. The said compound can be added to a preserving solution or a perfusion solution as its bulk form or as a solution or dispersion in a solvent which can dissolve or disperse the said compound homogeneously, and in the case the compound is used as the protecting agent to suppress or prevent the rejecting response after the organ transplantation, it is favorable to administrate the compound by oral or intra venous route. In the case the organ is preserved after the extirpation for the transplantation, it is effective to give the compound to the donor in advance to provide a certain concentration of the said compound in the cells of the organ. As the preserving agent, the concentration is in the range of 10-12-10-2mg/ml in the preserving or perfusion solution, and as the protecting agent the dosage is in the range of 0.01μg-100mg/kg/day.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
