PURPOSE: To reduce fog, to enhance a maximum image density, and to enable a color image to be efficiently formed by using the color developing agent having a specified main 5-membered hetero ring containing at least one of N, 0, and S atoms. ;CONSTITUTION: The processing solution for processing the color photosensitive material contains the processing composition comprising at least one of the color developing agents represented by formula I in which each of R₁ and R₂ is, independently, H, an aryl or heterocyclic group optionally substituted by alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, hydroxy, nitro, carboxy, cyano, halogen, aryl, a heterocyclic group, or the like; and A is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to form an optionally substituted 5-membered unsaturated hetero ring; and each of R₁, R₂, and A may form a ring together with each other, and A may have a condensed ring.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
