PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate capable of performing a certain water level operation having a small fluctuation in water level by obtaining a sufficiently large buoyancy without increasing the size of a float.;SOLUTION: A door body 4 is provided at the upstream side end of a water channel of an arm 3 fixed to a freely rotating main shaft 2 arranged on the channel, a weight 5 is arranged at the other end of the downstream side, a float chamber 8 is installed along the channel, this float chamber 8 and the channel are communicated, in a gate which opens or closes the channel by moving up and down the door body 4 at the arm tip in the channel rotating the arm 3 in relation to the lifting motion of a float 11, an inflow hole 11d through which water flows into a float when the water level in the float chamber 8 rises to a predetermined position is provided at the side wall of the float, and the runoff hole 11e at the side wall is provided at the side of a drain tank 15 of the channel, a siphon pipe 16 communicating between the runoff hole 11e of the float and the drain tank 15 is arranged, and the amount of water filling and the amount of drain to the float 11 can be controlled by the siphon pipe 16 in the configuration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
