PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a base paper for a wall paper hardly causing a curl even if the back surface of the wallpaper obtained by using the base paper free from a flame retardant is pasted, having excellent dimensional stability, having proper flexibility and excellent in applicability. ;SOLUTION: This base paper for a wallpaper is obtained by coating a polyalkylene glycol, or coating a mixed solution of the polyalkylene glycol with a binder comprising one or two kinds of a starch, a polyvinyl alcohol and a polyacrylamide, in a weight ratio of (3.0:7.0)-(9.0:1.0), on the base paper for the wallpaper.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
