PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shield material for a PDP which has a high aperture ratio and sufficient electromagnetic wave shielding performance, with a near-infrared ray cut-off function and a reflection preventing function provided, and to provide a method for manufacturing the electromagnetic wave shielding material capable of improving the productivity and reducing the cost by reducing the weight, wall thickness, and the number of components of the PDP. ;SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave shielding material comprises a translucent base 1, an ultra water-repellent region A and conductive metal fixing region B disposed on the translucent base, and a conductive metal pattern 5 disposed in the conductive metal fixing region.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
