Pennant structures, methods of fabricating pennants and methods of authenticating pennants

Pennants of high quality have first and second exposed layers preferably with a stiffener layer disposed therebetween and bonded thereto. Appliqus are applied to the first layer, the appliqus being in the form of embroidered images of graphic art works of photographic images. Direct embroidery can also applied to the first layer. The pennant in one embodiment has a front and back layer and in another either embodiment, an appliqu with a photographic image is fixed with stitching, preferably in the form of embroidery, around the periphery of the appliqu. The pennant may be mounted in a rigid frame having a triangular shape or rectangular shape.
