The natural antagonists can be applied for the formation of plant protection preparations designed for crop and environmental protection. Plants of the Malvaceae family have allelopathic effect on some economically important mono- and dicotyledonous crops - barley, maize, soya bean, beans and sunflower. The invention also relates to the possibility of the elimination of the injurious effect of the fluridon herbicide [1-methyl-3-phenyl-5(3-[trifluoromethyl]-phenyl-4-(1H)-pyridinon] on the photosynthetic apparatus of the plants expressed in blocking the biosynthesis of the carotenoids (bleaching herbicides), as well as to the effect of vegetable extracts of Cossypium hirsutum (L.)-cotton, Hibiscus esculentus (L)-okra and Althea rosea (L.)-hollyhock on seeds and offshoots treated with the fluridon herbicide. Description is made of wide spectrum, highly efficient natural antagonists of bleaching herbicides. The application of such products by the original methods and technologies can be used for plant protection during each and every phase of their ontogenetic development. 1 claim
