The invention provides a process for turning large quantities of glass waste into useful ceramic products by means of a low cost manufacturing process. The process enhances green strength compared to prior art processes and does not require water or any other liquid solvent. Only one firing step is required, with a peak firing temperature of about 700 198 C to about 1,000 198 C. The process conserves energy and natural resources compared to traditional clay-based ceramic manufacture. High quality waterproof ceramic products can be produced by the invention.
