TRANSLATION APPARATUS USING MONOLINGUAL TEXT CORPORA

he invention pertains to the machine-assisted translation field and is used for translating texts of a source language into texts of a target language with the use of monolingual text corpora extracted from the target language. Translation is obtained by the use of bilingual dictionaries and language resources issued from the target language. The operation principle of the translation apparatus is based on the known multiple comparison method (assignment problem) permitting the optimal translation of a sentence of a source language into a sentence pertaining to the text corpora of the target language. With the use of the bilingual dictionary, the words of the source language are replaced by the corresponding words of the target language.Said translation apparatus can be utilised by everyone needing reliable translations, as it provides, in an automatic manner, accurate text translations, at low cost.
