The manipulator arm (7) is connected to two parallel sleighs (6a, 6b) driven by shafts (3a, 3b) extending parallel to a fixed frame plate (1) in a first direction. The sleighs are movable in a second direction parallel to the plate and at right angles to the first direction. The arm is movable in a third direction at right angles to the first and second directions. A manipulator for receiving and/or positioning objects at pre-determined locations has a fixed frame plate with two parallel drive shafts extending in a first direction essentially parallel to the plate. Drive devices (2a, 2b) are connected to the drive shafts. Two parallel sleighs connected to the drive shafts can be moved in a second direction which is essentially parallel to the plate and at right angles to the first direction. A manipulator arm connected to the sleighs can be moved in a third direction at right angles to the first and second directions. An Independent claim is also included for an injection-moulding machine provided with the manipulator.
