The window sill-front construction comprises a front (5) with a gap (3) limited by an inner gap sheet (1) and an outer gap sheet (2), a window sill (8) in an opening (6) of the front (5), together with a ventilation device (11) located between the sill and the front. The ventilation device has a housing which at least partly extends into the gap, and on the one hand is fixed to the inner gap sheet and on the other hand with the sill. A ventilation through passage (17) issues on the outside above the sill and on the inside is directed downwards (20). The maximum width of the housing between the inside and the outside is smaller than the gap width. On the inner gap sheet a gap lath (12) extends into the gap, on the under side (14) of which the housing of the ventilation device is fixed by means of a screw connection (16).
