The proposed device for continuously monitoring oil pressure and oil film thickness in a slider bearing for a shaft, which contains an axial passage and a radial passage for feeding oil to the bearing, contains a transducer for measuring the clearance between the bearing liner and the shaft, an oil pressure transducer, facilities for picking up the output signals of the said transducers, and a unit for indicating and recording the said output signals. The detecting element of the pressure transducer is made of soft-magnetic ferrite.
