Appliance for cooling dust in the slag basin of open-hearth furnace has vertical channel with inlet opening to the slag basin, water sprayers, those are placed in the wall of the vertical channel. At that, the water sprayers are centrifugal, and the nozzles are directed downwards to the axis of the vertical channel.
