The method for the surgical treatment of the large and giant ventral hernias comprises the preoperative marking in the anterior abdominal wall specifying the hernia, the surgical incisions, the vectors of the displacement for the flaps obtained, the skin incisions, the hemostasis provided by electrocoagulation, the application of the resorbable ligatures, the isolation and the reposition of the hernial sac, the strengthening of the anterior abdominal wall with the alloplastic mesh, the draining and the sewing of the wound. Upon the horizontal (in depth) and vertical (by the area) dissection, the fibrin adhesive is applied onto the previously attached alloplastic mesh providing for the alignment and the optimal stretching of the cutaneous and fat flap prior to the suturing of the wound.
