A solution (I) comprises at least one acetylated or deacetylated amino sugar/sugars (a) (15 - 40, preferably 20 - 40, especially at least 30) wt.%. The solution is terminally sterilized. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparation of medical solution (II) involving providing (I) in at least one compartment; and terminal sterilization of the at least one compartment and its contents; and (2) a container comprising at least one compartment containing (I).
