A sausage-filling machine discharges meat paste into sausage skin (8) stretched onto a filling tube (14) which rotates about its own longitudinal axis (12). As the filling tube (14) rotates, a secondary mechanism (30) rotates the sausage skin, synchronised with the filling tube (14). The secondary mechanism (30) is axially movable and is essentially coupled with the filling tube (14) motion.
