The flap (16) includes an extension assembly with a support structure (23) which supports a flap assembly (18) through a cam follower and a cam slot. The extension assembly includes an actuating mechanism that moves the flap assembly between stowed and extended positions through pivoting about a central pivot axis. The flap assembly is interlocked to a track and a carriage, and includes a vane (22) and a main piece (24) that form a slot (25).
