An anti-personnel device, (20, 70, 90) for use in war gaming exercises comprises at least one launching mechanism (120) for launching at least one projectile (30) outwardly from the anti-personnel device (20, 70, 90), wherein the launching mechanism (120) has at least one member (22, 72, 91) biased away from another member (23, 71, 92) in opposing directions. A material (26, 76, 96) is affixed to the ends (32, 33) of the members that forms a loop (29, 99) depending from the ends of the members thereby capturing projectiles (30) therein when the members are in a closed, armed position (34).
