The component (20) (the head of a measuring probe) is pressed against the component (10) (the shaft of this probe), while a laser beam is applied to the components over both zones (31, 32) on opposite sides of the contact surface (34). The intensity of this beam is such that at least one chemical element (19, 29) from the zones (31, 32) diffuses, at least in particulate form, into the respective opposite zone. After the diffusion process (16, 26) the diffused particles ensure a joint between the components (10, 20).
